I got my start in the games industry as an environment artist & worldbuilder. Over my 14 years in the industry, I’ve worn a lot more hats, becoming a Unreal Engine generalist and systems designer. I’ve been an art lead for franchises like Mafia and System Shock, a hard-surface specialist for Bungie, and a production coordinator for a multi-disciplinary development vendor.
Since founding Basic Cable Games, my ambitions have shifted: I want to enable under-represented artists and developers in the industry to make experiences and tell stories that they can be proud of. Our first title aims to do exactly that, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for the future.
Lucas Lanier - Co-Founder & Creative Director
I have been working in the games industry as an artist and world builder since 2015. Over this time, I have been able to collaborate with many talented developers and contribute to several major projects, including; Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, The Wolf Among Us 2 and multiple Borderlands titles.
So far, my career has been focused on assisting other developers execute their visions, but now with Basic Cable Games, I look forward to the opportunity to help lead a team and create experiences of our own.
